Privacy & Cookie Policy
Last updated 10 August 2026
This policy explains what personal data Turkey Boats collects, how we use cookies, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site and respond to enquiries.
Who is responsible for your data
Turkey Boats and Yachts Brokerage, Merkez Mahallesi, Hasat Sokak No:12A, Sisli, Istanbul, Turkiye, is the data controller for the personal data described here. We process data under Turkiye's Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK No. 6698) and, where visitors are in the EU or UK, the GDPR.
What we collect
Only what you give us and what the site needs to run: the name, email, phone number and message you submit through the contact form or WhatsApp, and basic technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages viewed. We do not collect special categories of personal data and we do not ask for financial or identity documents through this website.
Why we process it
Enquiries are handled to take steps at your request before entering a contract and for our legitimate interest in responding to potential clients. Analytics is processed only on the basis of your consent. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.
Cookies we use
Essential cookies are required for the site to work and are always on, including the cookie that remembers your consent choice for one year. Optional analytics cookies are only set after you accept them. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Analytics & consent
With your consent we use Google Analytics to measure page views and traffic sources so we can improve the site. Analytics runs in Google Consent Mode with IP anonymisation: no analytics cookies are stored until you accept.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us operate: Amazon Web Services (hosting and email delivery) and, where you have consented, Google Analytics. These providers may process data outside Turkiye or the EEA under the safeguards their terms provide. We also disclose data where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as needed to answer you and for our records of the resulting business relationship, then deleted. Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months. Your consent choice is stored for one year, after which you are asked again.
Your rights
You may request access to your personal data, and its correction, deletion, restriction or transfer, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier processing. Contact us to exercise these rights; you also have the right to complain to Turkiye's Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) or your local supervisory authority.
Your choices
You can accept or decline analytics at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer, and you can clear cookies in your browser settings. Declining does not affect access to any part of the site.
